Our February Book-Inspired Learning Collection is designed to nurture creativity, emotional awareness, and meaningful connection through play. Centered around beloved stories like Happy Valentine’s Day, Mouse, Little Blue Truck’s Valentine, The Color Monster, The Post Office, and Boxitects, this collection invites children to explore love, emotions, and collaboration in developmentally appropriate ways.
Throughout the month, children engage in hands-on learning experiences that encourage early literacy, creative expression, fine motor development, and social-emotional growth. Writing centers focus on sharing kind messages and creating Valentine cards, while dramatic play, sensory exploration, and building experiences allow children to communicate, problem-solve, and express feelings through play.
This collection reflects a Reggio-inspired, play-based approach where stories act as the spark for deeper exploration. Children are encouraged to follow their curiosity, use open-ended materials, and connect their ideas to the world around them—learning that words, pictures, and play can help us understand ourselves and care for others.
